This is a reworked drawing of one posted recently. I have added a carbon wash plus white pastel and white gouache in the eye area in this drawing "Colt Eye"

Just Noses

Another Starbucks series drawing entitled "Just Noses" based on an iPhone image taken of a herd of yearling colts.

This evening I did another one of my Starbucks series drawings. This time I worked on a Self Portrait with Yearlings from a cell phone image. I have included both an image at time of completing drawing and the resulting detail drawing. It might be the subject of a future acrylic.

Starbucks drawings and painting

The first two are drawings with a possible later painting in mind. I routinely head over to Starbucks on Friday evenings when I don't have something else planned, claim a table, and get a the dark roast of the day as a pour-over. I then set up to draw. Usually I only get one done but this Friday I got 3 done. All were done a 5x7 watercolor paper.

This started as a drawing done as Starbucks, and then brought home and turned into a painting in open acrylic
