This past Thursday a new mare was introduced to the broodmare pasture. This foal tries to introduce herself but is told "leave me alone kid."
Blue Roan mare has sort of adopted the youngsters in the pasture and tries to be protective. She blocks off the foal and tells the new mare to stay away.
She then escorts her charges away from the interloper

Love the story, and especially love the shot of the foal with the new mare, attempting to introduce itself rather unsuccessfully. You were able to capture so much communication in their two expressions in a single instant - fun to look at.
